AUGUST 15, 2024

ViendoMovies, the premium television movie channel owned by SOMOSTV (a company led by Luis Villanueva and part of SOMOS Group), which programs the best contemporary films produced in Spanish, 24 hours a day and without commercial interruptions, presents its premieres for the spring season. This lineup includes high-profile films from countries known for high-quality cinema production. For the season, the SOMOSTV movie channel features the films Te estoy amando locamente (Spain, 2023), Olvido (Spain, 2023), Los Minutos Negros (Mexico, 2021), Tres Días para Reconquistarla (Venezuela – Colombia, 2024), La Maniobra de la Tortuga (Spain, 2022), and 42 Segundos (Spain, 2022). These films include popular genres such as crime, comedies, and dramas based on real-life events. ViendoMovies has stood out for tailoring its programming based on seasonal milestones and events, as well as presenting cycles featuring the best talent in Spanish-language cinema, aligned with its mission to promote an industry that has received international recognition.

Te estoy amando locamente is a Spanish LGBT drama film directed by Alejandro Marín and starring Ana Wagener and Omar Banana. Set in Seville during a time when homosexuality was criminalized, Reme, a mother driven by love for her son, becomes involved in the Andalusian LGBTQ+ movement, paradoxically born within the Church. Following this film is Olvido, directed by Inés París and starring María Caballero. The film is set in Valencia in 1957, the year of the great flood. Young journalist Olvido Granell and police officer Joaquín Caplliure join forces to investigate the mystery behind six corpses, which were not victims of the flood but of a dark conspiracy.

The spring premieres continue with Los Minutos Negros, a Mexican crime thriller directed by Mario Muñoz and based on the novel by Martín Solares. The production stars Leonardo Ortizgris, Kristyan Ferrer, and Sofía Espinoza and tells the story of Vicente Rangel, a musician-turned-detective who embarks on a case to capture a child murderer in a corrupt oil town on the Gulf of Mexico. This film is followed by the romantic comedy Tres Días para Reconquistarla, directed by Carlos Daniel Malavé. In the story, Alberto and Clara go to a swingers' resort to try to save their marriage. There, they meet Julia, who becomes the wedge between them by falling in love with Clara. The film stars Spanish actor Álvaro Benet (Sin Senos sí hay Paraíso, Mil Colmillos) as Alberto and Carolina Piedrahita (Sin Senos no hay Paraíso) as Clara.

Finally, the last premieres are La Maniobra de la Tortuga, directed by Juan Miguel del Castillo, starring Fred Adenis, Natalia de Molina, and Ignacio Mateos. In the film, Inspector Manuel Bianquetti is forced to accept a transfer to the Cádiz police station. His initial peace is disrupted by the discovery of a young woman's body, which reminds him of a tormenting past. Bianquetti embarks on a solitary crusade to catch the culprit, following evidence that may be a figment of his imagination. This premiere is followed by 42 Segundos, a sports drama directed by Alex Murrull and Dani de la Orden, starring Álvaro Cervantes and Jaime Lorente. The production dramatizes the journey of Spain's national men's water polo team at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics.

In addition to these seasonal highlights,

ViendoMovies also celebrates the traditions and festivities of the Hispanic market in the United States and Puerto Rico, further emphasizing its cultural relevance.
